Environmental Consultant (Waste)

Working on a variety of projects throughout the UK, from the Company’s offices in Wolverhampton, with a small dedicated team of professionals, due to current workload and continued planned expansion we seek an Environmental Consultant (Waste).

The role will centre on waste management but there will be opportunity to work on a number of environmental-related projects including assistance on Environmental Permit applications, planning applications and EIA-related work, environmental management infrastructure specification (e.g. landfill gas collection systems), monitoring and analysis etc. depending on the skills of the individual.

The successful applicant will ideally:

Be qualified to a least degree level in an environmental or other relevant subject and have relevant work experience;

• Have a thorough understanding of the legislative framework behind the management of waste and a working knowledge of the permitting system (e.g. having a background in the Environment Agency, Consultancy, Industry or Local Authority);

• Some relevant experience / involvement in the production of Environmental Permit applications for a variety of waste facilities;

• Good communication skills and confident in liaising with the client and relevant regulatory bodies relating to the waste industry;

• Be a member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. CIWM) or be working towards full membership.
