Job Summary:

A leading global engineering consultancy is looking for an Environmental consultant to complement the successful environment team. This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental consultant with a desire to broaden their experience within the built environment, and to be part of the multidisciplinary team delivering diverse projects within the public and private sector throughout the UK, Europe and the UAE.

Responsibilities:

In order to complement the existing team, the successful candidate will have a technical background in Air Quality, Flood Risk or Ecology.  Your responsibilities within the team will include;

• Undertaking standalone assessments in your specialist area e.g. Air quality, flood risk or ecology
• Provision of input to environmental impact assessment work in the UK and overseas
• Assisting in developing a client base and marketing the services of the environmental group at conferences and seminars
• Developing and mentoring more junior members of the team.

Skills and Experience;

In addition to proven experience within a professional consultancy, you should have experience of providing specialist technical input to EIA and other standalone assessments in your specialist area e.g. flood risk, ecology or air quality.

Successful applicants will have good knowledge of relevant UK and International legislation and an understanding of Environmental Planning issues relevant to major development and infrastructure projects.

You will have experience of project management with excellent time management and resourcing skills.  You should also have a commercial and practical understanding of business and public inquiry experience is desireable.

• Note: The successful candidate will only be working within one specialism e.g. Air quality, flood risk or ecology.
