Job Summary:

Our client is a leading environmental consultancy, seeking to appoint an Environmental Assessment Consultant into their Oxfordshire based team.

You will join a skilled team of environmental professionals, providing services to a range of clients including developers and renewable energies industries. Given the multi-disciplinary nature of the role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of internal specialists including Landscape architects, Archaeologists and Air Quality Consultants, Ecologists and Arboriculturalists.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Your brief will include;

• Supporting senior team members with the delivery of SEA, EIA, green infrastructure and ecosystem services projects
• Undertaking screening and scoping assessments for SEA, EIA and Habitats Regulations Assessments
• Communicating throughout the project life cycle with key stakeholders including clients, regulators, sub-contractors and planning authorities.
• Contributing to data collation and assessment by carrying out desk studies and baseline surveys
• Interpreting environmental data and contributing to technical reports.

Qualifications / Experience:

The Environmental Assessment Consultant will have;

• A relevant degree (MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment is desirable)
• Membership of a relevant professional body
• Full driving license
• Experience of undertaking screening and scoping reports
• Demonstrable experience of reviewing and interpreting data, providing input to reports whilst taking into account relevant legislation and guidelines
