Description

Join Britain’s biggest walking charity, at the heart of our engagement team, to help more people enjoy the benefits of walking.

We’re looking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic engagement assistant with a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will support the multi-disciplinary engagement team, encompassing campaigns, advocacy, fundraising, media & PR, communications and digital. As such, the engagement assistant will support a range of activities and help ensure Ramblers external communications have a lasting and tangible impact.

We see this as a broad role with plenty of support and opportunity to develop skills in communications. A good entry level position, this is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to get started in charity communications.

Essential Requirements include:

  1. Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of people.

  2. Ability to tailor work to existing brand guidelines.

  3. Good IT literacy.

  4. Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  5. Good administrative and organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced team.

  6. An appreciation of the needs of the user and the importance of a supporter-led approach.

  7. Understanding of, or a willingness to learn about, walking issues.

The Ramblers are an equal opportunities employer.  We warmly welcome applications from appropriately qualified people from all sections of the community and aim to promote diversity.
