Engagement and Training Officer (Eco-Skills) Flexible Location

Field Studies Council is one of the UK’s leading providers of outdoor environmental education. This is a great opportunity to join the Field Studies Council (FSC).

This exciting role will design and produce environmental engagement courses. The scope is hundreds of online and place-based training courses for adults and young people across the UK. 

Success will achieve accessible learning outcomes by developing/upscaling structured learning pathways for a range of subjects, especially biodiversity, natural history and environmental art. This includes providing support for learners and links to partner organisations and FSC Publications. Our learners will earn recognition and accreditation and take on personal and professional roles that benefit themselves and the natural environment.

As our Engagement and Training Officer you will develop and maintain training standards and tutor networks for a portfolio of subjects and work with course co-ordinators to arrange course delivery. You will also contribute to the design of marketing plans and fundraising bids to attract/retain new learners and partners.

The successful candidate will have great evidence of success with producing and evaluating engagement and training courses. You will also have great knowledge of the environment training market and related pedagogy and roles for different target audiences.
