Job Overview To provide technical and operational expertise in the function of energy management within the Environment Department. Develop energy strategies for installations within BMW UK market operations and facilitate their implementation. Review their effectiveness and modify to achieve the best overall result for the organisation. To provide support to the other functions of the department as required. The Department has responsibility to provide a service for BMW subsidiaries within UK and Ireland to include BMW UK Manufacturing, Swindon Pressings, Hams Hall Motoren GmbH, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, BMW UK Sales and Marketing, BMW Park Lane, Financial Services UK and BMW Ireland.
Key Accountabilities •Develop UK strategies to achieve business unit and BMW Group objectives and targets •Develop networks, tools and tactics to improve business unit performance •Ensure that energy improvement measures are coordinated by leading a network within all UK business units •Facilitating improvement and ensuring that focused attention is given to improving energy performance •Translates strategic goals and objectives into specific programmes and targets •Ensure teams and networks are operating to ensure legal compliance to energy and CO2 relate legislation •Proactively anticipate changes in energy and CO2 related legislation •Influence BWM Group policies and processes to optimise performance and ensure UK operations are represented appropriately •Influence where possible UK energy and CO2 legislation by representing the best interests of BMW in sector and regulatory meeting
Skills & Experience •Certified Energy Manager (CEM) issued by the Association of Energy Engineers. •3 years experience in the discipline. •Detailed knowledge of legislation relating to energy and CO2 management. •Excellent communication skills and an ability to function at the highest levels of the organisation. •Excellent mathematical and computational skills (specifically in excel)
