ENERGY EFFICIENCY OFFICER

Grade S02 (£27,323 - £28,922 per annum pro rata)

18.5 hours per week

Arun Civic Centre, Littlehampton

As part of the Private Sector Housing and Public Health Team, you could be the key player to help the Council achieve improvements in energy efficiency, reduce the use of carbon and provide a comprehensive energy efficiency service to the community.

Tasks will include liaison with commercial organisations and Local Authorities to develop initiatives and access funding opportunities which result in improvements in energy efficiency. Delivering presentations to groups, advising Officers and residents of grants available and how best to secure cost effective savings in the use of energy, collating information, maintaining databases and reporting on improvements in energy efficiency.

You will have a high level of initiative, be innovative, dynamic, have an ability to communicate at all levels, having highly developed IT skills, be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, use both practical abilities and technical knowledge to achieve objectives, particularly partnership working.

Although you should be educated to Degree level in a relevant subject, persons who have the required drive, commitment and ability from experience in the field will be considered.
