Description

Would you like to help us future-proof the energy when we build energy plants in Denmark and abroad?

Join us as soon as possible and become our new Electrical Project Managers in our department Electrical Leads. The department is part of Renewables, which is a large and rapidly growing business unit with 725 employees.

You will be joining one of the leading energy companies in Europe with more than 30 years of experience in wind power. More than 20 per cent of our electrical power is produced from renewable energy resources. We build and operate large onshore and offshore wind farms in Denmark and abroad. We are also one of the leading developers of offshore wind projects in the United Kingdom and Germany.

Together with your colleagues in the department, you will develop and implement projects within the field of onshore and offshore high-voltage systems for grid connection of wind power. You will refer to the project manager and be responsible for supplying a turnkey high-voltage system to our operating organisation. In that connection, you will be in charge of the planning and design, purchase and installation of high-voltage cables, transformers and switchboards. In addition, you will plan and organise assembly supervision and commissioning.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Gentofte near Copenhagen or in Skærbæk near Fredericia.

You should expect some travelling as we have activities in Northern Europe. The number of travelling days will depend on your specific task and will as far as possible be planned considering your wishes and possibilities. However, we expect the number of travelling days to be 20-60 days on an annual basis.

Areas of responsibility

You will get a challenging job as project manager of the entire electrical system for a wind power project, where you will head and coordinate a team of competent employees. You will be team responsible for ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality and budget for your part of the project. Furthermore, you will chair the team meetings and establish the roles and responsibilities of the individual project member in the project. You will report continuously on the project status to the project manager and the project owners.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • plan the project strategy within the field
  • coordinate supplies with colleagues from other departments
  • negotiate supply contracts in cooperation with the contract manager
  • make sure that we comply with applicable legislation and requirements
  • identify and reduce technical risks within your field.

Your profile

You will hold a Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering specialised within the field of high-voltage current and be interested in working with technical and commercial problems in connection with energy plants.

In addition to project management experience, it is essential that you have experience with planning and designing high-voltage systems and wind power plants.

As we are an international company and cooperate closely with our colleagues abroad, you should speak and write Danish and English fluently. It will be advantageous if you also have good communication skills in German.

It is essential that you are extrovert and have a responsible approach to your work. You will thrive on working in teams together with your colleagues and other partners. You will be able to keep control and delegate tasks. Moreover, you will know how to create a positive and motivating atmosphere. You will be responsive to new development tendencies and good at acquiring new knowledge.

We offer

A professional and international environment and exceptional commitment. We are working according to our project model and documenting our processes and decisions. Our technical solutions are of a high quality; and we are constantly improving our efforts. We are allocating many resources on research and development and demonstration plants. You will have unique opportunities to further develop your competences in a department with experienced colleagues who focus on employee development.

Through your work, you will contribute actively to an ambitious strategy for international growth and continuous development of CO2-free energy solutions.

You will have excellent development and educational opportunities. You will also get the opportunity to stay abroad for a short or long period of time if you wish to. We have an active employee policy, which supports your career throughout the various phases of your working life.
