Job Summary:

Our client is a well established and highly respected consultancy with a history of delivering innovative environmental planning solutions.  As EIA Project Director, you will have the opportunity to deliver EIA’s for projects across a range of sectors, such as renewable energy developments, electricity transmission infrastructure, transport, minerals, waste and water.

This is a key appointment for our client’s Planning team and offers the opportunity for an experienced environmental planner with sound project direction and delivery experience to have a significant influence on the development Planning Business Unit.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

As the EIA Project Director you will;

• Be responsible for the successful account management and delivery of project work;
• Act as line manager, providing support, guidance and feedback to encourage professional development amongst the EIA team;
• Provide expert technical and professional advice to team members and others across the wider business;
• Generate new business and make a contribution to the development of the Planning business unit and company-wide business plan.

Qualifications / Experience:

The EIA Project Director will;

• Hold a degree and / or a post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline;
• Be a confident and competent Environmental Planner with established expertise and reputation in the field of Environmental Impact Assessment;
• Extensive experience in project leadership, including major infrastructure projects;
• Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and clients;
• Full membership of IEMA and CEnv status preferred.
