Job Summary:

A successful environmental consultancy is seeking an Consultant with experience of providing input to Environmental Impact Assessment, to assist with coordination of Environmental Planning documents throughout the EIA process.  Due to recent successes and an expanding order book, our client are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic consultant to join the Warrington based team.

 

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

The successful consultant will work with colleagues and the team leader to advise clients of the potential environmental effects from proposed developments, providing innovative and practical measures to reduce potential impacts.

The position offers the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects including large scale regeneration projects, housing developments, new roads and electricity connections.  You will be joining an established team with extensive experience in managing the EIA process. 

The role will include coordination of the entire EIA process, from screening opinions to the production of the Environmental Statement to accompany planning applications.  You will work with a multi-disciplinary team of ecologists, engineers, designers, surveyors and planners and engage with a variety of stakeholders on a daily basis.

 

Qualifications / Experience:

The successful Environmental Consultant will have;

  • A relevant Degree
  • Appropriate professional membership
  • Experience in EIA coordination and a sound knowledge of best practice guidelines, planning processes, environmental assessment methods and case law
  • Experience of preparing Environmental Statements and providing technical input into environmental projects
  • Excellent report writing, communication and project management skills.
