As a result of continued success and growth plans, one of the country’s most prestigious real estate management consultancies is looking to appoint an experienced Ecologist / EIA consultant into their London based Environmental Assessment division.

Working as part of the company’s Environmental Consultancy group you will assist the team with the provision of advice to some of the world’s most prestigious real estate owners, investors and occupiers. 

This role would appeal to an ecologist looking to expand their skills to include project management of EIA’s for urban developments in a more commercial environment.

Qualifications and experience;

The Ecologist/EIA Consultant will have;

  • A degree in Ecology or closely related subject
  • Knowledge of UK ecology and EIA legislation
  • Demonstrable consultancy experience
  • A protected species licence for at least one species
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Membership of a professional body (IEMA or CIEEM)

To be successful in this role the Ecologist/EIA Consultant will also have;

  • Experience of undertaking species and habitat surveys
  • A track record of producing technical ecological reports, including Ecological Impact Assessments
  • Experience of submitting European Protected Species licence applications
  • Experience of the Habitat Regulations Assessment process
  • Knowledge of designing and implementing mitigation and enhancement strategies
  • Strong knowledge of the EIA process.
