Ecologist

Working on a variety of projects throughout the UK, from the Company’s offices in Wolverhampton, with a small dedicated team of environmental professionals, due to current workload and continued planned expansion we seek an Ecologist.

The role will involve assisting in the development of ecological services provided by the Company. Work to include leading the undertaking and production of habitat & species surveys and reports, mitigation design, ecological impact assessments and liaison with clients and regulatory authorities. The successful applicant will ideally:

• Be commercially-aware with good all round knowledge of practical and legal aspects of ecology, good plant ID skills and have experience at undertaking Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys;

• Have excellent report-writing skills;

• Be a protected species survey licence holder and have experience of protected species mitigation schemes and licence applications;

• Be qualified to at least degree level in an environmental subject and have proven experience in ecological consultancy on a number of different projects; and

• Be a member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. CIEEM) or be working towards full membership and have at least 3 years relevant experience.
