Ecological Consultant

Job Summary:

This dynamic and supportive Environmental Consultancy are looking to appoint an Ecologist into their close-knit Flintshire team. You will be joining a friendly and compassionate team of experts and gain exposure to a variety of projects; renewable energy developments, including wind and solar; infrastructure developments; and housing projects of wide ranging scale and locations.

Responsibilities:

As an Ecological Consultant you will:

• Prepare and present factual and interpretive reports, adhering to deadlines and working in an accurate, timely and effective manner
• Project Management duties for small to medium sized ecology projects
• Undertake ecology surveys
• Liaise with statutory consultees and maintain good relationships with clients
• Develop professionally and make positive contributions to the Company
• Manage sub-contractors and quality check their outputs.

Qualifications:

As an Ecological Consultant you will have:

• Degree in relevant field
• Strong understanding of legislation and the planning system
• Experience working in ecology consultancy
• Proven track record of managing small / medium projects
• Strong report writing skills
• Experience of undertaking a range of ecological surveys
• A Protected Species Licence (desired but not essential)
• Ability to attend site visits at short notice and is flexible in regards to working hours
