Working as a member of the Employment Team to establish and maintain excellent relationships with jobseekers, understanding and meeting their needs with the aim of moving these individuals towards and into further sustainable employment. The Postholder will provide a valuable resource for Groundwork North East to enable it to achieve its objectives. Working in a busy employment team environment to ensure programme performance targets are consistently achieved to meet requirements of the allocated contract.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with jobseekers and employers in an employment programme setting and experience of successfully matching jobseekers to local labour market opportunities. They will be able to demonstrate an ability to work on their own initiative, taking responsibility for the achievement of identified targets.
A good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent, particularly in English and mathematics, and be in possession of Information, Advice & Guidance Level 3 or above is essential. A recognised training qualification to support delivery to adult learners is also desirable.
