Salary: $50,000 pro rata, plus superannuation

NCC is seeking a detail focused, reliable and self-motivated Donor Care Officer. The right candidate will have impeccable attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to self-manage.
The Donor Care Officer will work under the supervision and guidance of the Philanthropy Manager, and will work closely with the Office Manager, Administration Officer, Database Officer and a team of volunteers to ensure effective fundraising administration and ongoing donor care.
The position is part time with flexible working hours and is located at NCC’s office in Newtown.
The Donor Care Officer will play an important role in improving administration efficiency, strengthening relationships with donors and contributing to growth in our fundraising program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- provide donor care and assistance by phone, mail and email
- maintain database records
- process donations; including receipting and banking
- ensure timely and accurate data entry, filing and letter preparation
- assist with coordination and administration of four appeals annually
- provide specialised care to major donors and regular givers, including keeping records of major donor activities, making thank you calls, issuing thank you cards, welcome letters and processing annual receipts for regular givers
- recruit, coordinate and supervise a team of fundraising volunteers
- improve efficiency in fundraising administration processes
- document fundraising administration procedures and policies
- conduct telephone fundraising campaigns as required
- other fundraising administration and donor care duties as required
SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple administrative tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Experience with data entry, payments / donations processing and customer / donor care
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to discern priorities, plan ahead and coordinate with others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage while at the same time working effectively to achieve team goals
- Strong work ethic, including maturity and reliability in delivery of work
Desirable
- Experience in successful fundraising/ sales/ marketing by phone or face to face.
- Intermediate IT skills, including experience with databases and online payment systems
- Experience training, coordinating and supervising volunteers
- Experience with recruitment and interview processes
