DIY Pedal Power Fun 2 – Mechanical devices

A 4 day course to be able to learn and build pedal power machines. We’ll build mechanical device. Participants will discover how to use their own bike as part of a mechanical  device such as: bike power washing machine, garden shredder and other small household appliances. The course have a good balance of theory and hands-on experience. Basic D.I.Y skills are an advantage but are not essential to take part in the course.

MR is a not-for-profit education project based in London made up of artists, musicians, designers, ecologists, and engineers. Since 2007 MR has flourished into a cross-disciplinary organisation working in education, ecology, engineering, design, art, music and film. Their workshop programme, cinema, and sound system educate children and adults about energy production, renewable technologies and micro-power generation.

The course starts on Wednesday 24th at 9am and finishes on Friday 26th at 5pm. The price of the course is 190€ including full (vegetarian) board from Wed. to Fri. lunch and accommodation (Wed. & Thurs.). Discount available for those who take part in the “DIY Pedal Power Fun 1 – Electrical  Generator” course (300€) and stay a whole week from 20th to the 26th October – a free day (23rd) food an accommodation included.

Booking conditions

The course will be run in English and Spanish. In addition to learning lots of new things you will also be part of a low impact community in the beautiful surroundings of Los Molinos del Rio de Aguas in Southern Spain.

• Refunds up to two weeks prior to course (minus 30 euro admin fee).
• No refunds for cancellations within two weeks of course.
• If there’s not a minimum of bookings, course will canceled and refunds will be 100%.
• A 10% surcharge will be applied for air travel.
