DIY Hot Water Systems

4 days course run by James Curry  to be give a basic introduction to solar hot water systems; designing and installing your home system. Address to those interested in building their own hot solar water panels. Solar hot water represents one of the best ways in which we can reduce our ecological footprint.

Over 4 days you’ll be actively involve in the construction of a flat plate collector ready for installation. During the course you will be given a basic introduction to solar hot water systems and designing and installing your system.

The course will cover:

• Basic health and safety plumbing
• Soldering and cutting copper pipe
• Cutting and joining aluminum
• Basic solar hot water theory
• Introduction to designing and installing your system

The price of the course is 200€ including full (vegetarian) board from Thursday 6 to Sunday  lunch and accommodation (from Thurs. to Sat.). Limited places. Booking needed. Booking deadline November 15th.

Booking conditions

The course will be run in English and Spanish. In addition to learning lots of new things you will also be part of a low impact community in the beautiful surroundings of Los Molinos del Rio de Aguas in Southern Spain.

• Refunds up to two weeks prior to course (minus 30 euro admin fee).
• No refunds for cancellations within two weeks of course.
• If there’s not a minimum of bookings, course will canceled and refunds will be 100%.
• A 10% surcharge will be applied for air travel.
