DIY Construction Co-ordinator – Merapoh, Malaysia Role As the Merapoh Construction Leader you will be placed at the forefront of our work with the Batek community. You will be seen as one of the faces of the project and this should be considered at all times. When representing Ecoteer you should display a professional standard whilst remaining open and accessible to the community in which we operate. You will be responsible for leading various projects at the Merapoh House and around the Batek village Description of ideal candidate A passionate, friendly and social person who has experience of Jungle trekking and of course DIY. They would have a passion not just for the rainforest but also for the environment and will want to make a difference to the local Batek Tribal Community. They would have experience in woodwork and plumbing and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude with minimal resources. They would have good command of spoken and written English and experience of living and working with western people. They would be a happy and people person. They would be a confident leading jungle trekking and love living with basic amenities.
