EcoSpark works with communities and schools, providing them with the knowledge and tools to monitor their environment and take action for positive environmental change. We believe that by encouraging and empowering those who we work with to take action, we can create and sustain a healthy environment.
EcoSpark is based upon a strong foundation of principles. We believe that:
- A healthy environment is an essential basic need for well-being.
- Experiential education inspires people to be environmentally responsible.
- Developing and sharing environmental knowledge helps people to understand the environment.
- People can and should undertake the role of stewards who affect positive environmental change.
- Individuals and communities are responsible for protecting, maintaining and restoring the environment for present and future generations.
EcoSpark has a dedicated team of staff, board, and volunteers who work together to deliver our programs and ensure that EcoSpark continues to meet the needs of communities and young people.
