The Director of Marketing position with ACF is arguably the best not-for-profit marketing job in Australia. It is an opportunity not just to strengthen a high profile NGO but to make a difference to the world around us and affect the lives of future generations.

While generating the funds needed to run effective conservation campaigns is a critical outcome for ACF’s Marketing department, so is engaging and inspiring ACF’s passionate supporters, and reaching out and connecting with the broader community. The Director of Marketing provides leadership and inspiration to a team that has a track record of delivering on these outcomes.

The Director of Marketing is accountable to the Executive Director and responsible for working together with other ACF Directors to promote ACF’s vision, values and mission, to identify and deliver strategic opportunities for ACF, and for ACF’s success. The Director of Marketing is a member of ACF’s Executive Management Team and reports to the ACF Board on marketing related matters.

The position provides strategic leadership for ACF’s marketing and fundraising and has line responsibility for the management, performance and culture of ACF’s marketing department. ACF’s marketing staff are skilled professionals and deliver a broad range of supporter engagement and fundraising programs under three strategic areas: Key Relationships, Supporter Services and Database, and Acquisition and Supporter Development. The role of Director is primarily focused on strategic issues and coaching the team to achieve their best. The Director must be able to promote a high performance culture and be able to take a long-term view on program development.
