Director, Inside Sales



Sunrun is looking for an Inside Sales guru to build the industry’s most effective telesales organization.

 

You will work closely with our acquisition marketing team to build and execute on the inside sales business plan—and to test, learn and improve the acquisition process for customer experience, effectiveness and scale.




Responsibilities:

 

  • Set and exceed inside sales plan; drive significant growth in support of company’s overall sales plan;
  • Close collaboration with acquisition marketing team to ensure performance v. conversion and CAC goals
  • Regular and accurate forecasting;
  • Drive smart market expansion, minimizing conflict with existing channels 
  • Build and lead an industry-leading sales team
  • Develop and execute on a consultative, highly effective sales process
  • Effective use of Salesforce.com for performance management, reporting and KPIs
  • Develop Sunrun product and company expertise and have a strong knowledge of the residential solar industry.




Requirements:

 

  • 10+ years in direct-to-consumer sales and 5 years leading an inside sales team
  • Track record of sales excellence; consistent over-achievement of quota and strong W-2 earnings
  • A+ capabilities around team leadership (hiring, driving performance) and development
  • High impact member of sales leadership team
  • Loves the challenge of disrupting a big industry
  • Experience with a long sales cycle, considered purchase is a plus
