Flies are an ecologically important group of insects. Identification of the 7,000 recorded species in Great Britain can be daunting. This weekend workshop will help participants develop the basic principles of identification and recording. The workshop will focus on three Diptera families, Bibionidae, Sepsidae and Scathophagidae and beginners and experts will be able to share knowledge and skills.

Sessions will be lead by expert members of the Dipterists Forum.
