Design & Installation of Photovoltaic System

A three-day course with Csaba Zagoni about designing and installing photovoltaic (PV) systems including theory and practicals. The course focuses mainly on stand-alone (off-grid)systems but can be tailored to meet individual interests.

-how do PV modules work?
-assessing the solar resource
-system components (charge controllers, inverters, batteries)
-quantifying power requirements
-test PV modules
-take part in a step-by-step installation
-learn about different systems at Sunseed

There will also be discussions about systemic global problems and new concepts aiming to tackle them. The course starts on Friday at 9am and finishes on Sunday at 5pm. The price of the course is 150€ including full (vegetarian) board from Sunday to Tuesday lunch and accommodation (Sunday & Monday). Discount available for those who take part in the “Introduction to Solar Electric Systems” course (230€). There are maximum 8 places. Booking needed. Booking deadline.

Booking conditions

The course will be run in English and Spanish. In addition to learning lots of new things you will also be part of a low impact community in the beautiful surroundings of Los Molinos del Rio de Aguas in Southern Spain.

-Refunds up to two weeks prior to course (minus 30 euro admin fee).
-No refunds for cancellations within two weeks of course.
-If there’s not a minimum of bookings, course will canceled and refunds will be 100%.
