The role:
Reporting to the Delegate Sales Manager; the Delegate Sales Executive will lead the sales effort for 6-10 B2B conferences per year, selling attendance to our market leading business events – the product is a high fee, high commitment proposition, targeted at senior level business people.
The candidate will be expected to account manage past delegates, generate their own leads and work from researched and rented lists.
The candidate MUST have proven and successful sales experience– selling to senior level business people. Enthusiasm for selling and a good understanding of the sales process also essential.
Experience of sales and CRM software such as ACT and Salesforce would be an advantage.
Green Power operate commercial conferences for the sustainability and green sectors in locations such as New York, Chicago, São Paulo, Brussels, London, Miami, New Delhi, Cape Town and Singapore; there may be unsocial hours when selling to non-UK companies. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be proactive in generating their own sales leads.
Key responsibilities:
• Follow up inbound leads and enquiries and convert to sales
• Identify and account manage past multi-buyers and key customers
• Contact individuals from researched and prospect lists and convert to sales
• Research new contacts and sales leads from the database and from raw research of your own, and convert to sales
• Build, operate and maintain a sales database, working with colleagues in the UK, Dubai and Italy to maximise the effectiveness of this resource
• Work directly with the marketing team to generate new sales leads from marketing
• Develop the portfolio of products and Identify new business opportunities
• Report key information and performance to Directors
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year sales experience
• Proven and successful sales record
• Good understanding of the sales process and sales techniques
• Confident when selling to senior-level business people globally
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Good IT skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, Linked-in and Google
Desirable:
• Additional languages
• Experience of, and a basic understanding of sales and CRM databases
• Experience using Salesforce, Goldmine, ACT or similar
