Due to increasing demand for Carbon Trust support on decentralised energy from local authorities we have an exciting opportunity for a well qualified Energy Analyst to join our team.
Demand will increase due to the £300 million support pledged by the Department of Energy and Climate Change, and as Decentralised Energy Analyst you will play a key role in extending our existing portfolio of work with UK local authorities, universities and hospitals, with the possibility of expanding into the private sector and international markets.
You will focus on the provision of stakeholder management support for district heat networks, and will also support the delivery of our wider public sector and decentralised energy work.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
• Supporting and conducting stakeholder engagement activities • Writing reports providing summaries of stakeholder engagement • Supporting delivery of project management activities • Contributing to tender responses • Developing new relationships with local authorities, universities and hospitals in need of support • Working closely with government, industry, funders and interest groups to inform and develop the Carbon Trust's work in this field
To be successful in this role, you should have a working knowledge of the decentralised energy development process, the UK public sector (especially local authorities), strong relationship management skills, and a demonstrable commitment to the Carbon Trust's mission and professional ethos. You should also have some previous experience and demonstrable interest in district heat networks, including delivering stakeholder engagement.
