Description

Groundwork is a national environmental regeneration charity working with partners to improve the quality of the local environment, the lives of local people and the success of local businesses in areas in need of investment and support.

In this Database and Network-based role, you’ll help us develop the technology that underpins our mission to bring about lasting environmental improvement - making a genuine and lasting difference to our organisation in the process.

More specifically, your primary role will be to manage and administer in-house project management (GPMS), HR (HRIS) and Sage 200 systems, including maintaining and developing the database to ensure project information correlates to financial systems, funding requirements and customer needs.  In addition, you will also be responsible for a secondary role of monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks. This will involve installing and configuring new equipment and maintenance of all existing equipment, plus liaising with our external IT service provider and the wider Groundwork network when necessary.

To do this, you’ll need an IT-related degree (or equivalent) experience, and a strong track record in systems and databases, SQL/Access. Confident and comfortable using a wide range of Microsoft applications.  A working knowledge of Lotus Notes would also be desirable but not essential.  You’ll be familiar with working across a multi-site environment supporting remote users, as well as training staff in the use of IT.

To apply for this role, please download the documents attached and return via email to sarah.tate@groundwork.org.uk or post to Sarah Tate, HR Officer, Groundwork Wakefield, Block C, Normanton Town Hall, High Street, Normanton, WF6 2DZ.  Tel:  01924 307222
