This Data Entry Technician will be primarily responsible for validating and entering historic Chinook salmon and steelhead hatchery data into excel spreadsheets to be uploaded to a collaborative hatchery database. Up to 30 years of historic data exists for 8 different anadromous facilities. Much of the data has been previously entered and needs to be validated, while other data needs to be both entered and validated.

Successful applicant will work with existing staff to get up to speed on methods and format and then will spend a lot of time working independently. In addition to working with historic data, this position will be used (to a lesser extent) to assist evaluation biologists with data analysis and occasionally, with field-type work. While field work will be a small part of the position, the ability to be away from home for small periods of time, work in inclement weather conditions, operate a four wheel drive vehicle, and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances are preferred.

***This position requires a valid driver’s license and all offers of employment will be contingent upon passing a driving record check.
