Purpose
Under the direction of the Creative Director, the incumbent manages the coordination and execution of all projects assigned to the Creative Services team. Primary responsibilities include meeting all critical creative and editorial deadlines for multiple direct mail programs and other informational and promotional materials as assigned by the Creative Director or VP of Philanthropy. Managing the process requires rigorous adherence to an aggressive production schedule, coordinating with internal staff and liaising with external contractors and vendors.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- As part of the creative services team, manage the annual creative schedule for multiple mailings/projects.
- Assist the Creative Director and collaborate with internal fundraising staff to ensure all deliverables are aligned with the project objectives; optimizing timelines to achieve deadlines.
- Work with the Creative Director to manage artwork and copy development by scheduling, coordinating and facilitating the trafficking of new and edited materials between internal staff and external contractors, and providing direction on revisions and changes required.
- Collaborate with internal staff (copywriters, program staff, fundraising staff and production staff) to execute systems, policies and procedures for current and future projects that impact the creative services team; liaise with the Department of Communications on brand identity issues as required.
- Manage creative services team and external resources to ensure design and copy outputs meet strict deadlines. Conduct meetings with Department of Philanthropy staff as required to provide status updates and solicit pending briefs.
- Work with the Creative Director to assess, make recommendations for, and develop the creative requirements for fundraising mailings and other creative projects as assigned,
- Other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- A proven track record and three or more years of progressive experience in a similar position or in a creative and/or advertising agency.
- Must be highly organized and self motivated to meet critical deadlines. Must be able to work under pressure, while coordinating several projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Solid computer skills with expertise in MS Office Suite, Adobe Professional and project management software preferred.
- Creative production and copy editing skills are preferred.
