Seasonal Rangers at Aigas Field Centre
Calling all birders, botanists, and wildlife enthusiasts!
Would you like the opportunity to live and work at one of the UK's longest running nature study centres? Situated in the heart of the wild Highlands of Scotland, Aigas has been delivering first-class environmental education for schools and natural history based holidays for adults for over 30 years. We are seeking 2 or 3 talented, committed and enthusiastic graduates to join our ranger team for the 2012 season.
Applicants must be natural science graduates and have a passion for the natural world. We are especially interested in individuals who are familiar with and passionate about the natural history and history of Scotland. Successful applicants will take part in the Aigas Ranger Training Scheme 2012, which is an intensive and comprehensive training programme. During the season, you will gain invaluable on-the-job experience working with adult and school groups, educating them about the Highlands of Scotland and its rich biodiversity and history.
You will receive an initial training grant for the training period, rising to circa £225/week during the operative season. All field staff are provided with Swarovski binoculars for the duration of their contract. A full, clean driver's licence is essential. We'll be celebrating our 35th season in 2012 and we have a range of exciting innovations on the horizon.
