Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assisting with the update and implementation of the Customer Advice Strategy, to improve the quality of the advice we disseminate, in order to increase the carbon saving implementation rate of users. 

- Reviewing the Carbon Trust’s content for the Delivery business area – to identify overlaps, inconsistencies, gaps, and new requirements. 
- In partnership with other members of the Customer Advice team, maintaining, updating and repackaging the existing content within the Cut Carbon & Reduce Costs section of website, and within Carbon Trust publications.
- Collation and creation of new content for the website, publications and events, and for new channels including:
o New web tools, such as remote site assessments, and webinars
o “Newsletter” type content for dissemination to customers and through third parties
- Possibly involvement in getting content re-purposed for use overseas.
- Good project management (to time and budget) of:
o Obtaining new content for both internal and external dissemination from technical contractors, and internal information sources
o Repurposing existing and new content into different formats (eg transforming publications into web content)
o Organising external and internal information to disseminate efficiently across different channels (including internally via our intranet)
- Editorial and quality control for all customer advice content, including obtaining internal technical and marketing approval
- Liaising across the Carbon Trust with key stakeholders and managers & communicating progress to senior management
- Managing market research to determine customer need for information
- Writing tender documents and sourcing service providers

Key skills: 
− Demonstrate strong project management skills, with evidence of managing projects to tight deadlines and budgets
− A sound knowledge of practical energy and carbon saving measures for business. Good knowledge of several energy saving technologies, and experience of working with several different business sectors
− Strong information management skills – organising and analysing information to bring out key findings
− Good writing and editorial skills
− Good communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with  staff at all levels
− Good level of Microsoft Office competence

Qualifications and experience:
- Educated to graduate level
- Project management experience
- Knowledge or experience in the energy efficiency and carbon management field.
- Experience of managing, structuring and having editorial control of information
- Experience of developing content for websites, publications, and other channels
- Experience of working with or managing consultants, contractors or agencies. Experience of procurement of these is desirable but not essential
- Experience using a web content management system desirable but not essential
- Experience of delivering energy efficiency advice directly to customers would be an advantage, either face to face consultancy, or providing advice by phone or e-mail or in written reports, or in–house energy management.
