Salary:  £18k – £25k Dependent on experience

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding, Essex-based team of ecological and arboricultural consultants. You will contribute to a varied workload and have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients including those within the construction industry, local authorities and large landowners.

Responsibilities:

The consultant will;

• Carry out protected species surveys, and work with more senior members of the team to offer advice to clients on mitigation and licence applications.
• Undertake Phase 1 site walk overs.
• Contribute to tenders and fee proposals.
• Produce high quality technical reports in accordance with best practice guidelines.

Qualifications / Experience

The consultant should have;

• Proven consultancy experience and a track record of working with a number of protected species on a range of projects.
• Associate IEEM membership
• An understanding of clients’ requirements and experience of delivering projects on time and on/under budget to a high standard.

Ideal candidates will have at least one EPS licence, although ecologists close to ‘sign off’ will also be considered.
