Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced arboriculturalist to join a growing London based specialist Ecological Consultancy.  This role offers the opportunity to deliver a variety of project work, utilising BS 5837 to deliver Impact Assessments, Method Statements and to design Planting Plans.

You will play a key role in supporting work across all of our client’s UK offices so experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team is will be well regarded in applicants.  If you have an appropriate arboricultural qualification, extensive Visual Tree Inspection experience, and a full understanding of the latest British Standards and best practice in arboricultural methods, then get in touch today.

Responsibilities:

As a Consultant / Senior Arboriculturalist your brief will include;

  • Undertaking tree surveys to BS:5837
  • Input to Environmental Impact Assessments
  • Compiling Method Statements
  • Liaising with clients, Local Authorities and other stakeholders as necessary
  • Report writhing
  • Line Management responsibilities.

Qualifications / Experience:

The Consultant / Senior Arboriculturalist will have;

  • A demonstrable track record of applying BS 5837 and undertaking Arboriculturalist project work within a professional consultancy environment including;
    • Tree Schedules and Constraints Plans;
    • Arboricultural Impact Assessments;
    • Tree protection schemes/Arboricultural Method Statements;
    • Planting schemes.
  • Proven report writing capabilities
  • Proficient at carrying out line management duties
  • A full, clean driving license
  • Confident in the provision of advice to clients regarding tree and wildlife legislation. 

Desirable;

  • Valid tree climbing qualification
  • Keen interest in undertaking bat surveys (bat survey licence desirable)
  • CSCS card for work on construction sites.
