IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY

Conservation Intern

Society for Conservation Biology

The Society for Conservation Biology's Wildlife Conservation Program has an immediate opening for a Conservation Intern.  The intern will provide support for a range of exciting projects, including State Wildlife Action Plan revisions and our pollinator conservation program.  Intern tasks may include, but are not limited to: web or library research, data entry and analysis, document preparation and proofreading, field research (we are currently surveying insect pollinator populations at sites around the Washington, D.C. metro area), and research of funding options. Additional tasks may be required as conservation programs progress.

Candidates should be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Valid driver’s license and own vehicle a plus.  Hours are flexible.  Internship is unpaid although college credit may be arranged for candidates who are currently undergraduate or graduate students. Review of applications will begin immediately until a candidate is selected.  Please send cover letter and resume with names of three references electronically to: Kate Wallace, Program Coordinator, jobs@conbio.org, with the subject line “SCB Conservation Intern”
