The Urban Orchard Project is a pioneering charity, dedicated to creating skilled communities that plant, care for and harvest fruit trees, whilst connecting urban communities and increasing access to fruit.

We are recruiting for a Leeds based Project Manager to support the charity in delivering a national community orchard programme called Helping Britain Blossom.

 

Project Manager £24,000 pro rata plus 5% employer pension

Part time: 3 days/week

18 month contract subject to extension dependent on continued funding

The Project Manager will be responsible for all activities leading to the planting of new community orchards and their sound management, including training community volunteers. The role comprises project management and provision of technical and practical support.

We are looking for a candidate who has excellent knowledge and experience of creating and managing community orchards. You will be passionate about making a positive difference to greenspaces and the communities that live and work in and around those spaces and be self-motivated and driven to achieve the highest standards.
