We are looking for sessional workers to lead in the preparation and delivery of a variety of community engagement sessions based around London. You will be responsible for the delivery of volunteering and training tasks centred around practical conservation work, wildlife gardening and learning about biodiversity in London. This will involve preparing health and safety monitoring information, preparing and managing tools, and generally supporting participants to complete practical and learning activities in line with specific project objectives.


The successful candidate will have experience leading group tasks, and supporting volunteers and community groups in a practical outdoor setting. You will have strong communication skills and be able to work with a diverse range of people, and have experience working effectively with challenging people. An interest in urban nature conservation is essential.

London Wildlife Trust manages over forty nature reserve sites across the capital that are exemplars of urban conservation land management and which engage the local communities that use the sites. The Trust delivers projects focusing on protecting priority habitats and species in London and works to influence policy makers. The Trust engages London’s diverse communities through access to our nature reserves, volunteering programmes and education and outreach work.
