PURPOSE: To process registrations and provide customer service for Community Education Programs courses, workshops and tours, and additional programs sponsored by other departments as appropriate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Process customer data for various programs that require registration using software program.
- Respond to inquiries as needed regarding program content and registration procedures from mail,
e-mail, Internet, telephone, and fax inquiries.
- Manage back-up paperwork. Process and balance daily registration payments and refunds using software program.
- Prepare confirmation letters, participant nametags, and program rosters as required using software program.
- Update and maintain program information, historical files and mailing lists for assigned programs using software program.
- Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, processing mail, filing and ordering supplies as necessary.
- Assist with other special projects as assigned.

COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS: Community Education Programs, School of the Chicago Botanic Garden, Volunteer Services, Membership, Accounting, Facility Use, Group Visits, and Program Registrants/Participants. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma and one to three years’ office experience required. Candidate must possess and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office Suite, as well as superior attention to detail and organizational skills. Candidate must also demonstrate diplomatic telephone manner and readiness to work as a team member.
