Our mission:

To tackle climate change. How? Through Environmental Tracking: a market-mechanism designed to drive the world’s largest companies to lower emissions and improve transparency by linking company share price to emissions.

As the Project One Percent movement grows so will our social media presence. We are looking for someone who can engage in the climate change conversation and engage influencers and the media.

Our ideal candidate will have creative flair, bags of initiative, amazing communication skills, a social media presence and an interest in innovative thinking on environmental and economic issues. An understanding of journalism, communications, community management and digital project management is a plus.

Your mission will include:

  • Innovating on new social media approaches, social media marketing, using social listening and management tools like Hootsuite, Conversocial, Facebook Insights, etc.

  • Community management and environmental communications, following to a step-by-step process.

  • Using engaging content across Facebook, Twitter, and more.

  • Assisting in researching, developing and implementing strategies to build an online community.

  • Creating amazing content with fantastic copy skills.

  • Leading creative brainstorms for content creation.

  • Posting videos and images, and writing fun, engaging blog posts to keep the team involved, inspired, and enthusiast.

  • Working remotely from a virtual office, also potential to work in a real office if London based (Imperial College, South Kensington).

  • Actively engaging in a fun internship with a clear strategy, guidance, and week-to-week plan.

  • Helping develop a robust, online and offline identity around the organisation’s campaigns.

  • Being part of a cutting-edge social enterprise and a forward thinking creative communications team.

Other important information:

Ideal contribution of 10-15 hours per week.
