POSITION SUMMARY The Central Ohio Conservation Project Manager directs some or all aspects of protection, science, stewardship and community relations for Central Ohio conservation activities. The Project Manager is responsible for management of the Big Darby Headwaters Preserve and five other preserves found in the region. Working with Conservancy colleagues and conservation partners, the Project Manager establishes overall conservation vision and priorities for Central Ohio, and develops and implements a broad array of conservation strategies aimed at abating threats with a primary focus on conserving the streams, wetlands and surrounding lands of the region. The Project Manager will also move forward new initiatives to increase cooperation with both public and private stakeholders, including improving youth engagement, with some potential for urban conservation work. The Central Ohio Conservation Project Manager is based at The Nature Conservancy’s Dublin office and reports to the Ohio Director of Conservation. The Project Manager is a principal contact to government agencies, other conservation organizations, and the academic community in Central Ohio. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
