Description

24th - 29th July residential course

A course for keen amateurs and professionals that is focused on identification of bryophytes and also their use in National Vegetation Classification (NVC). It will develop skills in field recognition and the identification of key species of bryophytes for the accurate identification of plant communities, full use being made of richly varied local woodland, grassland, coastal, upland and mire communities in Snowdonia and close to the field centre. Ecological indicator species will be highlighted. There will also be opportunities to see some of the special bryophytes for which this part of Wales is noted.
