The Bright Water Landscape Partnership has brought together a wide range of organisations to protect and enhance the natural, built and cultural heritage of the catchment of the River Skerne in southern County Durham and Darlington.

Employed by Durham Wildlife Trust on behalf of the wider partnership, this post will be responsible for working with the project’s Development Manager on the detailed development of a Stage 2 Heritage Lottery Fund Landscape Partnership Scheme submission, which aims to unlock over £3 million of Heritage Lottery funding for project work in the Bright Water area.

Working alongside a wide range of stakeholders, from public to private sectors, voluntary and community groups and local landowners, the Development Officer will coordinate the communications strategy and promote awareness of the Partnership.  S/he will encourage communities and landowners to actively participate in the projects identified for further progression during earlier consultations. S/he will also support the Development Manager in producing the Partnership’s Landscape Conservation Action Plan (LCAP).   

This post may suit an experienced candidate interested in landscape level development or a more recent graduate from a marketing, landbased, or heritage related discipline looking to widen their experience in this field.

Fixed term contract to 31st July 2017.
