The Job

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ecologist with a specialism and enthusiasm for Botany to work for a dynamic, multi-disciplinary and award-winning consultancy.

The successful candidate will hit the floor running, working on challenging projects across a variety of sectors including renewables, minerals, road and residential developments and major infrastructure. Duties will include field work, the production of quotes, liaison with regulators and clients, management of subcontractors and report writing.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in an ecological discipline and have experience working in ecological consultancy, with a demonstrable specialism in Botany.

They will be able to apply a practical, intelligent and pioneering approach to project delivery. A sound knowledge of UK and EU wildlife legislation, planning policy, survey standards and licensing requirements is essential, as is the ability to produce high quality and robust reports and advice.

Due to the nature of the work, a full UK driving licence is necessary. Membership or an eligibility to apply for membership of CIEEM is also desirable.
