You will be working in key areas of Blackpool getting local people involved in outdoor physical activities. You will be using the environment, including allotments and disused land, as a tool to develop a wide variety of people’s interests and skills to bring about improvements to the quality of life for local residents.
Enthusiasm for the green environment and skills in land management, preparation and growing is essential along with excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of the barriers people need to overcome to participate. An organised person with the ability to plan and deliver activities is essential for this vital role within the organisation as is the management of volunteers and participants. Ability to work with a range of partner agencies and budget management are also key requirements for this position. Previous experience of physical environmental improvements along with working with volunteers is desirable.
This position requires the successful applicant to hold a full driving licence and will be subject to an enhanced CRB check. The post is a 12 month contract.
