Biodiversity Field and Education Officer

This position has the primary function of delivering the Biodiversity Field and Education Officer Programs, as funded through BCN partnerships, grants and fee for service. Position responsibilities fall under these funded projects and other related BCN programs as appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Biodiversity leadership and implement the BCN Biodiversity / on ground works projects including; appropriate weed control techniques, rehabilitation, protection and enhancement measures, pest animal control
• Lead and or assist BCN Biodiversity projects providing expert delivery and advice to BCN Program Manager, BCN Committee and program partners
• Ensure Biodiversity projects are delivered as per project agreement and milestones
• Ensure best practice standards and principles are adhered to for all program / project areas
• Lead and or assist under the instruction of the Program Manager key BCN programs including Summer By The Sea, Geelong Cemeteries Biodiversity Enhancement Program, Borough of Queenscliffe Coastal Moonah Woodland Program, Victrack Bellarine Rail Trail Vegetation Enhancement, City of Greater Geelong and BCN Schools Environment Education Program, The Point Coastal Moonah Woodland Program, Corangamite CMA Coastal Saltmarsh and Coastal Moonah Woodland Program
