In order to meet its long-term objective to have 1,000,000 acres of bird-friendly agriculture supported in California, the Migratory Bird Initiative is continuing efforts to implement several programs that demonstrate compatible agricultural practices in the Central Valley. Avian Monitoring Technicians will assist in quantifying the biological value of several such programs on private lands (Bird Returns), as well as TNC property (Staten island). Technicians will also be required to provide administrative and/or project management assistance to program staff, as required.
