Areas of responsibility

Your primary tasks will be to manage electrical systems, including high- and low-voltage equipment on onshore and offshore substations and wind turbines. You will be on call 24/7 all year together with the Operations Manager who is also educated Safety Coordinator and Senior Authorised Person.

You will also participate in tasks related to wind farm operation and assist the Senior Authorised Person with high-voltage installations on onshore and offshore substations and wind turbines.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • perform technical management and repair electrical components, eg substation, cables and wind turbines
  • assist the manager and service technicians
  • ensure that that work and procedures comply with British law and the maintenance instructions stated by the manufacturers
  • be responsible for safety work in cooperation with our Safety Engineer
  • plan service and maintenance work with our technical teams.

Your profile

You will have an electrical engineering degree or equivalent supplemented with substantial work experience as a Senior Authorised Person, ideally within the fields of power stations, utilities or offshore wind farms.

You will also have strong hands-on experience with high-voltage equipment obtained through commissioning, maintenance and operation of high-voltage equipment. You will be able to show a good track record within the fields of technical engineering and management.

You will have strong communication skills as you will be training and assessing personnel and contractors to the level of Competent Persons, Authorised Persons and Senior Authorised Persons.
