The Audubon Center of the North Woods is seeking a motivated team player for an internship as an Adventure Programming Coordinator Assistant from August 2009 through August 2010.
Duties Include:
*Train staff on use of Adventure Courses including Climbing Wall, High and Low Ropes and Initiatives Courses
*Inspections, maintenance and improvements of adventure courses and equipment
*Coordinate and lead Community College weekend programs including Backpacking, Winter Skills, Wilderness Navigation, River Canoeing and Outdoor Sampler
*Teach outdoor education classes to residential K-12 school groups
*Liaison for school groups
*Lead summer youth camp backpacking and canoe trips

Skills Needed:
*Experience in ropes course management
*Competency in teaching belaying and climbing skills
*Canoe training and background
*Expedition and trip planning
*Teaching ability for wide range of ages and audiences
*Flexibility with work To Apply
