The Audubon Center of the North Woods is seeking a motivated team player for an internship as an Adventure Programming Coordinator Assistant from August 2009 through August 2010. Duties Include: *Train staff on use of Adventure Courses including Climbing Wall, High and Low Ropes and Initiatives Courses *Inspections, maintenance and improvements of adventure courses and equipment *Coordinate and lead Community College weekend programs including Backpacking, Winter Skills, Wilderness Navigation, River Canoeing and Outdoor Sampler *Teach outdoor education classes to residential K-12 school groups *Liaison for school groups *Lead summer youth camp backpacking and canoe trips Benefits: *Room and Board *Meals provided when groups in residence *Use of Audubon Center adventure equipment and facilities including canoes and climbing wall *Environmental Education Certificate from Hamline (10 Masters credits free) *Stipend of $160 per week Skills Needed: *Experience in ropes course management *Competency in teaching belaying and climbing skills *Canoe training and background *Expedition and trip planning *Teaching ability for wide range of ages and audiences *Flexibility with work To Apply Send Resume, cover letter and list of three references to:
