My client, a large multi disciplined consultancy, require an P402, P403 AND P404 trained Asbestos Consultant to join their expanding team in their Newcastle Office.

The Job
The role will involve attending scope-of-works site visits with the client, producing quotations for air monitoring projects, undertaking air monitoring and 4-stage clearances, recording all site data and compile inspection & monitoring reports using paper records and/or electronic data capture, reporting findings through verbal and written communications, carrying out re-inspections, update asbestos registers and asbestos management plans, ensuring that inspection works are carried out in accordance with documented procedures and comply with the quality system.
The role is to involve:
•Attending scope-of-works site visits with the client.
•Producing quotations for air monitoring projects.
•Undertaking air monitoring and 4-stage clearances (as defined in HSG248)
•Recording all site data and compile inspection & monitoring reports using paper records and/or electronic data capture.
•Reporting findings through verbal and written communications.
•Carrying out re-inspections, update asbestos registers and asbestos management plans, ensuring that inspection works are carried out in accordance with documented procedures and comply with the quality system.
•Out-of-hours (evenings, nights, weekends) work may be required depending on project specific operational needs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Completion of air monitoring and 4-stage clearances in full accordance with HSG248 procedures
•Writing of technical asbestos reports

•Ensures departmental processes are adhered to
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
•P402, P403 & P404 qualified or RSPH Analyst
•Must have at least 2 years asbestos air monitoring and 4-stage clearance experience and capable of undertaking the duties of a clearance analyst within a UKAS accredited surveying organisation
•Strong client-facing skills
•Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a larger team
•Ability to support junior team members
•IT literate
•Full clean UK driving license
Desirable
•S301 Asbestos and Other Fibres, or, W504 Assessment and Control of Asbestos
•P406 Supervision and Management of the Safe Removal and Disposal of Asbestos
•2 years asbestos surveying experience and capable of undertaking the duties of a lead asbestos surveyor within a UKAS accredited surveying organisation
•P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings
•Proven track record in delivering survey projects on time and on budget
•Able to work away from home, including internationally
•Experience of project management of complex remediation schemes
