Job Summary:

Our multi-disciplinary client is seeking an archaeologist to join their successful and expanding environment team in the Cambridgeshire office.  You will join a UK wide team of dedicated environmental specialists including EIA, Landscape, Air Quality, Acoustics, and Ecology professionals to contribute to archaeological and cultural heritage desk studies, consultations, research and EIAs.

The Role;

As part of the UK wide Archaeology team you will contribute to a diverse range of projects within the UK, providing services to a range of clients, particularly developers and the utility and rural industries.  You will have the opportunity to undertake desk-based assessments, provide input to cultural heritage chapters of Environmental Statements and contribute to stand alone archaeological reports.  Some management of archaeological contractors will also be required.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • A Degree in archaeology or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience within a consultancy field
  • Experience of undertaking Archaeological impact assessments including archaeological desk-based assessments
  • A track record of contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • A good working knowledge of British archaeology and field techniques
  • Good knowledge of the UK legislation and planning policy.
  • IfA Membership or equivalent experience desirable.
  • A full Driving Licence.
