Description

17/07/14

This course is for people who would like to learn about the numerous flowering plants that grow in and around ponds, lakes and streams. In addtion to introducing many of these plants in the field, participants will be shown how to observe the characters that are used to identify and classify them using a series of novel side-by-side annotated drawings (supplied) that summarise their key features, in addition to a free FSC guide Commoner Water Plants. A x10 or x20 hand lens would be useful. A follow-on Advanced Aquatic Plants course is available on 18 July 2014 for those who wish to look at the more difficult to identify group of species.
