AMEC Earth & Environmental is recruiting for a Junior Air Quality Specialist to join our Air Quality Unit at our Calgary, AB office.
Responsibilities: • This opportunity will give the successful candidate the chance to contribute to the broad range of AMEC’s air quality services. Responsibilities include:
Technical Expertise: • Supporting a wide range of air quality models to support project permitting and operations • Assisting in providing greenhouse gas management solutions, such as inventory and regulatory reporting support, verification and audit services, and evaluate emission reduction options • Permitting and other regulatory services in Alberta and/or other jurisdictions
Project Expertise: • Assist with project tasks to ensure budget, schedule and scope goals are met • Participate in technical analysis and documentation associated with air quality efforts • Establish and maintain positive and effective client relationships • Assist with the support of marketing and business development efforts on air quality projects • Coordinate with national air quality experts to effectively support and expand project efforts
Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years or related experience directly related to air quality and regulatory services in a consulting environment • Bachelors Degree in Meteorology, Engineering or related Science field is required. • Ability of register for P. Eng in Alberta • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the technical areas as listed above • Understanding of air quality regulatory framework • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must be detail oriented • Reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment are a must • Ability to effectively work on multiple project tasks while meeting cost, scope and schedule requirements • Background in regulatory and permitting is considered an asset
